Your Core Product Is Copyrightable Trust
Platforms want infinite fuel and AI gives it to them. Here's what you can do.
Machine-made content is drowning us. Humanity is the last scarce asset you possess.
You've likely felt the ground shift beneath you. That gnawing suspicion that the very content you create, once your bedrock, is rapidly becoming a commodity. This isn't paranoia; it's the new reality.
Generative AI has fundamentally broken "Content = Value" equation. For the last decade, you could build a business by simply aggregating information or producing high-fidelity pixels.
Cost of "perfect" content is approaching zero. If you are competing on volume, you have already lost. Volume is now an automated job. Your job is scarcity.
This shift turns creators from content producers into IP architects. We are moving from high-volume transaction to high-value scarcity. The only defensible moat left is verifiable, un-replicable human input - mistakes, spontaneity, tangible effort, and specific taste.
If your work can be mass-prompted, you do not own it. The machine does.
Authenticity Audit:
1. Production Rule: Ensure ~80% of production time is spent on work that requires your unique fingerprint. If you can outsource it to a prompt, delete it.
2. Voice as Infrastructure: Stop using AI to write scripts. Use it for transcription or data. Your voice, cadence, and specific worldview are assets. Do not dilute them with synthetic text.
3. Un-Promptable Test: Every piece of content must pass this test: Could a motivated 22-year-old with a prompt library make this in under an hour? If yes, it is a liability.
Protect your signal. Delete the noise. Imperfections are now your highest-margin asset. Unfollow perfectionism.
